We Are Holding On To Our Faith

The Honorable Bishop C. M. Bailey, Leader

“And he said unto them, Where is your faith?” Luke 8:25

The Coronavirus has struck without prejudice or partiality. It has rocked our families, communities, cities, states, country, and even planet. Our hearts go out to the bereaved and our prayers remain diligent for the sick. As disease, famine, and hardships approach in even greater waves, we remain steadfast and unmovable, holding on to our faith. In some cases, it is all we have left.

The scripture reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:5–7, “When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am

persuaded that in thee also. 6 Wherefore I put thee in remembrance that thou stir up the gift of God, which is in thee by the putting on of my hands. 7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” During this time when touching is not allowed, we must remember that we have been touched by the savior.

This COVID-19 virus attacks like a tornado indiscriminately taking one and leaving the other. Noah preached for 100 years that it was going to rain. For 100 years, the prophets of the House of Prayer likewise taught us to get into the Ark. Daddy Bailey, Daddy Madison, Daddy McCollough, and Daddy Grace repeatedly warned us of these days saying, “Children the time is coming when you will want to go to the House of Prayer, and you will not be able to.” Now we are witnesses.

We are following the medical guidelines of social distancing and maintaining adherence to restrictions; however, it is faith by which we are living in these times with a greater hope and understanding that by grace, God Is Never Closed. Thus, through faith we gather in Jesus’ name, keeping His presence as the link to the few around the mountain. Holding on to the faith of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ with our brothers, sisters, children, mothers, fathers, and friends everywhere with hands lifted, vigilantly on our knees in prayer, looking towards the hill from which comes our help. God bless the House of Prayer, our home sweet home.

While many are looking for a physical hand or some show or display through media, the longest arm and strongest signal is the one that reaches by faith. We may not be able to touch, even as some of our families and friends lay isolated on a ventilator and cannot be anointed by the blessed oil, however, by faith we are reaching them. By faith, we are touching them. By faith, we are One. Faith can move mountains, and by faith, we will be delivered.

By faith we are united in Sunrise Service. By faith, we are united in Noonday Service. By faith, we are united in the Eight O’clock Prayer. We are the United House of Prayer For All People and we rejoice and suffer with all as One. In sickness, we are united. In death, we are united. In famine, we are united. In distress, we are united. Nonetheless, know that by faith we are still testifying, shouting, singing, preaching, working, loving, and sharing for we know that without faith, it is impossible to please God (Hebrews 11:6).

As many of us are watching House of Prayer DVDs and listening to recordings of past services, our soul stirs and reminds us that God is not closed to those who are willing to continue to call upon the name of the Lord. We can still feel the Spirit of God when we call our spiritual father, “Daddy.” Call Him in the morning, at noonday, and in the evening time.

We are holding to what has healed thousands in this land. We are holding to what changed the lives of men and women to live holy and give God everything. We are holding to what built

hundreds of mortgage-free Houses of Prayer. We are holding to what has assisted and funded the higher education of thousands of individuals. We are holding to what created the music by which we are known. We are holding to what caused thousands to cry Daddy, Abba, Father, and be filled with the Holy Ghost. We are holding to what brought us through for over 100 years. We are holding to what will take us on. We are holding to what will deliver us from this pandemic. We are holding on to our faith, and we will never let go.

Psalm 103:2–3 Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: 3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

Mark 5:34  - “thy faith hath made thee whole.”
